Shot list, Storyboards and Marked script
Below you will find the Shot list, Storyboards and Marked script I worked with my Producer Clarice and cinematographer Robin on.
AV13
Before the screening of the film I was sure
to address all perfectly brought up issues in the edits. The film has been
colour corrected, has had POV shot removed, the atmos and foley have been
altered and timed better and over all I am very proud of the film I showed and
am very privileged to have worked with such and excellent group.
Showing my film at AV13 went excellently (despite
a technical hiccup unrelated to the production of the film.) and people were
laughing which in a comedy is all I could hope for.
The next day Annie Watson sent an email to
all students which said the following:
Congratulations to all of you on the fantastic
screening last night. All staff were very impressed by the quality of the
films, including our Head of Department, Brian Tweedale, and Head of Faculty,
Roger Ecclestone, (who particularly enjoyed Alex Coates' film - well done Alex
and crew!).

Audio screening
This weeks screening focused of audio and
as such we were very happy with the feedback. Some issues raised were that the
atmos was too loud and featured too many cars and that certain some foley was
too loud. These issues will be dealt with. Susannah also brought up removing A
POV shot which I will be sure to do.

Foley Recording
Today I worked with my sound recordist and
editor Dan to record foley for the film. The foley was all recorded in the
Harmer Pro tools room and involved mostly Dan recording me ruffling newspaper,
ruffling a bag, jumping, stepping on the spot, banging into things and trying
make a squeak noise for the slide. Over all I am very happy with the foley
recorded and will work closely with dan on the edit to make the audio sound as
good as possible.

Fine cut screening
We did not show our film at the fine cut
screening, as due to technical issues Jess had not been able to make any
significant changes. These issues have been dealt with and after showing Chris
Hall what we had he agreed no screening was necessary.

Rough cut screening
The rough-cut screening went excellently.
Most of the feedback was very positive, including praise for the writing,
Courtneys acting and my directing specifically. There were some complaints
about jess’s acting as expecting but it was acknowledged little could be done
at this point. Other issues that were raised were that colour correction would
be needed on certain scenes and that some trimming was needed for timing
purposes.
